Born April 1977, Vienna, Austria.
He became interested in photography at age 10 and started shooting with his first camera - a Yamashica that allowed 2 photos per frame.
He has lived and worked in Austria, Germany, England, Scotland and the USA, eventually settling in Ireland in 1997. Since 2003 he works and lives between Los Angeles and Ireland.
It is important to note that in an age of digital trickery, Cyril does not digitally manipulate his photographs, instead choosing to use traditional photography tools such as lighting, movement and timing. 99% of his work is completely photoshop-free.
His first photography show was held in Los Angeles in October 2003, hosted by actors Christopher Masterson and Jason Lee. Over 400 people attended a very successful opening.
His second big photography series "The Ethereal", was unveiled in March 2005. Over 800 people attended this show hosted by actors Christopher Masterson and Danny Masterson in the artist district of Los Angeles.
His most recent series "Myths & Fairytales" opened in Los Angeles in February 2008, hosted by actor Michael Peña, again with record attendance.
Cyril is married to Irish rock singer Kojii and together they have one daughter, Croí Sequoia, born on December 21st 2005.
